Neural Visor XV

RATED FOR
THE WHOLE
WAY DOWN

1,600° on the shell.
Twenty-one behind the glass.

The thermal layer moves heat around you before you know it arrived.

Blind is just
another input.

Sealed optics and inertial mapping keep the picture when the air stops cooperating.

It reads the ground
from four kilometres out.

Terrain lock resolves a landing surface long before your eyes find one.

BUILT

01 / The object

Awake
the whole
way down.

Ninety-eight kilometres of falling, and the glass never stopped reading. Thermal, attitude, range to ground — refreshed four hundred times a second, on the inside of the shell where your eye already was.

Neural Visor XV helmet, facing the camera

One shell.
Nine hundred grams.

Pressed in a single pull, then cut for the seal. There is no seam on the XV because there was never a second piece.

Macro detail of the visor telemetry
Telemetry is etched into the inner surface. It reads on the glass, not on a screen you have to find.
Macro detail of the collar seal ring
The seal ring indexes by feel. One click is closed, and the light only confirms what your hand already knew.
02 / The system

Everything that keeps you alive is one sealed unit.

The XV is not a helmet with parts bolted on. Optics, thermal management, telemetry and power share one pressure envelope, so there is nothing to fail independently and nothing to check in the dark. You put it on, and it is already running.

01
Thermal shell
Phase-change plating routes entry heat outboard through the spine channel.
1,600°C peak
02
Sealed optics
Single-piece visor, no seams, no fogging path, no hinge to take a hit.
240°field
03
Terrain lock
Inertial mapping resolves a landing surface without line of sight.
4.2km range
04
Charge cell
Hot-swappable at the cowl. Reads out on the inside of the glass.
31hr active
05
Cowl
Aramid weave, cut to clear the seal so the head still turns under load.
0.9kg
03 / Qualification
98,000metres

Certified drop ceiling. Above it the shell is still rated; the paperwork simply stops.

Tested to
1,240shells

Shells taken to destruction before the XV left the floor. Every failure is in the spec above — that is what the numbers are.

04 / Issue

Issued in lots of forty.

Fitting is by measurement, not by size. Send a scan and the shell is cut to it. Current lot ships in eleven weeks.

GEAR does not exist.
The film does.

Neural Visor XV is an invented product, built to have something worth falling past. Everything you just scrolled through is real work: one unbroken 25-second shot, generated in five chained takes and pinned at both ends so the joins hold, then scrubbed frame by frame against your scroll position on a canvas that keeps a phone from running out of memory.
